Huntsville Residents Impacted by Rescinded Grant Funding for Utility Bills

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — More than 200 Huntsville Utilities customers will see an unexpected expense on their next utility bill after a grant providing $100 in assistance to 255 customers was deemed “no longer valid due to President Trump’s Executive Order to rescind the funding behind the grant.”

“Due to Presidential Executive Order; the awards have been rescinded.”

Mastin, in a statement, clarified:

“However, due to the Presidential executive order; the awards have been rescinded. We have been assured by vendors that no one will face disconnection of services due to this grant pause.
