In response to the recent Gulf Winter Weather System that brought severe cold, power outages, and property damage to communities along the Gulf Coast, FloridaCommerce has announced the availability of disaster flexibilities for funding to help Community Action Agencies (CAAs) provide emergency support to those in need.
What This Means for Affected Communities
The new flexibilities will allow CAAs to:
✔️ Expedite emergency assistance for families impacted by winter storms.
✔️ Allocate funding for temporary housing, energy support, and disaster relief.
✔️ Expand services to reach more vulnerable households affected by extreme weather conditions.
