LKLP Community Action Council Executive Director Ricky L. Baker to Retire
Dear Community Action friends,
On Monday, February 5, 2024, I announced my plans to retire. I have enjoyed the past 34 years of serving LKLP Community Action Council and the clients we serve in Leslie, Knott, Letcher, Perry and the many other counties served by our agency across the Commonwealth. I have grown as a person and professionally through my many experiences in Community Action.
I appreciate the support the LKLP Community Action Board of Directors have shown me throughout the years. I appreciate the dedication that each of our employees have committed to LKLP Community Action and the clients that we serve daily. I also appreciate the many friends, colleagues, and community action supporters that I have gained throughout my years with the Agency.
Effective March 1, 2024, Robin Gabbard, our current Chief Operating Officer will assume the role as interim executive director, and the Board of Directors will begin the search process for the new executive director.
It has been my pleasure to serve our agency for the past three decades. LKLP has been a large part of my life and will continue to be for years to come. Thank you!
